Once upon an illusion, A girl christened with the name Melanie sat and thought, She thought about the world, and many ideas of wonder.
She sought out to help those who were in need, With her heart displayed on her sleeve, For all to see.

Ever since I was a child, I have always been afraid to be alone at night, cloaked in the darkness.  I would sit up in my bed, staring all around me, listening, watching…
I would sit, stiff as a board, always in the same spot on my bed, listening to the night.  The shadows were all around me, playing tricks and games, making me go insane with worry, paranoia.

I am not insane.

Sleep would hit me eventually, of course.  It would sneak up on me, strangling me with its strong grip, and suffoca s a v e d

The Forbidden Seven: Chapter IThe Forbidden Seven    - C H A P T E R  O N E -

As long as I can remember, I have always had a thing for him.  Who am I talking about, you ask?  His name is Kevin William Verali.

The simple mention of his name sends tingles up my spine.  I know I should not feel this way, but I just cannot help these feelings anymore.  Everyone keeps telling me that I am just being obsessive or that I’m being so delusional; that I haven’t a clue about what I am talking about.  But, they’re all wrong.

Mood: Tired
Listening to: handlebars (flobots).
Watching: the night sky.

_{I can tell it's going to be one of "those" days, already. It is currently 1 am and I still cannot get to sleep. Feh. I just...cannot seem to close my eyes.

There is just so much to think about, the many thoughts swirling around in my mind. So many things at once, clouding my mind with fog.

And, my eyes are straining to see, my ears to listen, my heart to keep on pumping...

I need rest.

But, sleep keeps evading me. I blame the nightmares. I blame my thoughts, my restless mind. I blame the night, the darkness all around me. I blame everything and anything, but myself.

And, I'm the one at fault.

Confusion is a beautiful thing, really it is. Ah, sleep is slowing making its entrance. It's time for me to close my eyes and to dream...of a moment in time when I will stand tall and present myself to all those clouds. And, we shall dance together, the clouds and I. Perhaps, I shall even find love way up there in the sky?

You never know. That sky is such an enigma.

My restlessness is almost gone, but my right eye keeps twitching in anticipation. This too, shall pass; this restless high.
